iPad Loan Program
The Vermont Assistive Technology Program (VATP) is now providing iPads to Speech and Language Pathologists (SLP’s) for the purpose of conducting Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) device trials. VATP manages a fleet of loaner iPad 3’s which are set up as speech generating devices. These iPad’s come standard with:
- a selection of current AAC applications

- or an AMDi external speaker case http://www.amdi.net/
or for Medicaid fund an iOS tool as a communication device the prescription must come from an SLP who is a Medicaid provider.
